Quress has negotiated with a number of health insurers in the Netherlands. Of course the situation may differ for health insurers in other countries.
According to some Dutch health insurers, the Cytotron treatment does not qualify as such for compensation. Out of courtesy, they are willing to make some exceptions in individual cases.
According to Quress the treatment qualifies as a ‘medical treatment’ in the sense of Article 10 of the Health Insurance Act. Therefore, it should be paid for by the health insurers.
Quress focuses on providing health care to patients. Legal discussions and procedures regarding compensation should be kept outside this type of care. Moreover, some of the patients are not well enough to wait for the decision in these insurance matters. They simply do not have the time. Therefore, Quress has decided to make the treatments immediately available. Quress requires payment in advance for the treatment so it will not to have to approach its patients as debtors.
The patients themselves must submit the invoices to their insurance company for reimbursement. Of course we are willing to support the arguments favouring compensation and to offer the relevant considerations. We trust that in the future our treatments will be added to the ‘basic package’ of health insurance. Unfortunately, this is not yet the case.
Invoices sent by Quress meet the requirements pursuant from the civil code, the Value Added Tax Act and the respective EC guideline. However, the individual health insurers require different invoice models. If you intend to declare the charges of a treatment to your health insurer, please send us the invoicing requirements of the company in question. As far as possible we will adapt our invoice to the wishes of your health insurer.
